Editorial Policy
This page explains how HomeCallPro writes and updates the guides and pages on this site. It matches what our About page says.
Who writes our guides
Guides are published by the HomeCallPro Editorial Team. We do not use made-up author names, and we do not claim credentials we cannot show. If a named expert ever reviews a page, we will say so on that page.
What every guide includes
- An author line, the date it was first published and the date it was last updated.
- Plain-language steps, safety notes and questions to ask a provider.
- Links to official sources, such as Ready.gov, FEMA, the U.S. EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy, when a guide relies on them.
What we do not do
- We do not publish customer reviews or star ratings, and we do not invent them.
- We do not list provider names or addresses.
- We do not guarantee any provider’s work, license, insurance or availability.
Cost and licensing statements
When we mention cost, we describe what affects it, not what you will pay. Prices vary by job and location. When we mention licensing, we keep it general, because rules differ by state and city. Always confirm requirements with your state or local agency.
Corrections
If you find an error or out-of-date advice, tell us on the Contact page. We review reports and update the page and its “Last updated” date when we make a change.
Our general information is not professional advice
Our content does not replace an inspection by a licensed professional. In an emergency such as fire, a gas smell or a medical danger, call 911 first.
